I have been a keen member of the gym now for over 25 years. Whilst I have always run a little, even at school, I got hooked after my husband decided that we should run the New York Marathon for Cancer Research in 2003. I have since run marathons in Dublin, Edinburgh, London, Cologne, Milton Keynes, Halstead, Chester, Hull, Vienna and Prague obtaining a personal best in the 2015 Hull Marathon with a time of 3.01.30.  I have also recently run my 10k PB so it's never too late to start!

 

I am an active member of Bearbrook Running Club and compete in club races from 5k to 26 miles, both on trail and road.  I have also competed in ultras such as the Dartmoor Discovery 32, London to Brighton 56 as well as the Saunders Mountain Marathon.  My EA athlete profile can be found here (although sadly this only relates to races run under the UKA race licence and not the ARC) http://www.thepowerof10.info/athletes/profile.aspx?athleteid=46986

 

Whilst my main love is running I genuinely enjoy exercise and regularly cross train using free weights or kettles.  I also love to go out on my road bike. I am passionate about what I do and this is why I decided to move into personal training.  I  have now added to this by becoming an England Athletics Running Coach as well as a Biomechanics Coach.

 

In rare quiet moments you will find me pottering around the garden or curled up with a book.

 

I am 45 and live in Aston Clinton, near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire with my husband and numerous pairs of trainers.
